Summary CHS has an exciting opportunity in the Compliance & Integrity office of our Legal and Compliance organization.
We are looking for a Trading Compliance Analyst to join our team in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
This role will be responsible for helping empower CHS to compete with integrity and confidence in the highly complex and regulated global marketplace that CHS encounters each day through daily operational and tactical support.
In addition, this role will obtain, validate, and aggregate information and prepare reports as required by relevant regulatory authorities and CHS leadership.
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with a deep understanding and knowledge of financial and physical agricultural commodity markets and products, including futures, options, and swaps.
You must possess strong analytical skills and communications skills and understand how the regulatory environment impacts business operations.
Responsibilities Obtain and validate information from business units, subsidiaries, and/or joint ventures (if applicable) for regulatory reporting purposes.
Gather, analyze, and prepare responses to regulators and exchanges.
Gather, analyze, and respond to requests for information from CHS Compliance and Integrity leadership.
Serve as a primary point of contact with assigned business units, subsidiaries, and/or joint ventures (if applicable).
Assist with all trade compliance-related questions and escalate to Derivatives Trading Compliance Program Manager when needed.
Partner with assigned business units, subsidiaries, and/or joint ventures (if applicable) to address issues and assist in the rollout of new business products and/or initiatives.
Help identify, develop, and drive solutions/strategies to issues faced by the businesses and the necessary controls around any change.
Review and revise contract language and marketing materials for assigned trading programs, including programs related to forward contracts with embedded pricing optionality.
Monitor trading activity for compliance to policies and participate in audits or investigations as required.
Gather and review materials for response to Regulatory inquiry/document requests.
Escalate any concerns to Derivatives Trading Compliance Program Manager as needed.
Assist in preparing materials for relevant committee(s) or Board of Directors.
Engagement with CHS Inc.
's subsidiaries and/or joint ventures, including Registered entities regarding their regulatory obligations and compliance programs, supervisory responsibilities; and enhancements to compliance manuals and policies.
Compliance Education and Communication DevelopmentAssist Derivatives Trading Compliance Program Manager in ensuring all relevant personnel receives adequate training on regulations and rules, as well as policies that support compliance to the rules.
Development and rollout of education & learning courses for the business regarding Commodity Interest and related cash or forward transactions.
Assist in the ongoing maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
Analyst will also lead the Trading Compliance Program communications efforts with assigned business lines.
Research and Program Management/Enhancement Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional and/or regulatory publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
Identify and support areas for automated process improvements within the business units, subsidiaries, and/or joint ventures and trading compliance.
Strategic ProjectsParticipate on strategic projects that are focused on enhancing Trading Compliance Programs.
Assist in non-derivatives trading compliance activities at the direction of the Trading Compliance and New Products Risk Director.
Support the business through implementing enhancements for business programs and technology solutions as part of a comprehensive trading and compliance program.
Partner with IT resources to ensure business applications and systems effectively support CHS' compliance and regulatory requirements.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Identify and communicate workplace hazards.
Correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions in the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications (required) High School diploma or GED4
years of experience in commodity and/or derivatives regulatory compliance.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization.
Adaptable to change and able to prioritize multiple demands under pressure.
Ability to assess and understand complex situations presented by the business and provide appropriate compliance guidance/solutions.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with interpreting and communicating complex regulatory requirements to business partners.
Ability to quickly learn and understand organizational structure for the purpose of compliance testing and monitoring.
Able to work effectively and meet goals both as part of a team and independently.
Additional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in Legal Studies, Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field1
years of experience with one or more of the following:
Program administration, Training and communications, Policy development.
Advanced understanding of commodity trading compliance, particularly in the Agricultural sector.
Data analytics, technology solution, and/or trading surveillance experience.
Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, such as CFTC, NFA, Commodity Exchanges, International commodity regulators, NGFA, GAFTA, etc.
, as well as of emerging regulations related to commodity trading activities.
Knowledge of various CFTC & NFA firm and individual Registrant requirements and responsibilities for conducting business adherent to each fitness standard under the Commodity Exchange Act.
Experience working with complex financial information systems and controls in a large, complex business that provides consistent and reliable information.
Experience working with structured trade finance.
CPA, MBA, or JD CCEP or other compliance/ethics certification.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
