Summary CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy division.
Our wholesale Crop Protection group is looking for an energetic self-starter to become our new Marketing and Supplier Specialist.
You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be customer focused with the ability to build long-lasting business relationships.
This role can be based in Inver Grove Heights, MN and can be remote.
Responsibilities Manage transfer pricing from Wholesale CP to Retail CP business.
Manage forecasted sales with Regional Coordinators and communicate to suppliers.
Generate competitive offers and pricing on Crop Protection products.
Manage allocated product sales as deemed to Retail.
Generate supply plans to efficiently move product through the system to create efficiencies.
Develop and maintain business relationships with certain suppliers.
Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives for Crop Protection products.
Negotiate long term objectives with key suppliers.
Develop new business and grow existing business to meet regional & personal goals.
Prepare and conduct sales presentations, contracts, and proposals.
Communicate marketing, supply, and sales information to procurement team.
Oversee and evaluate market research, adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Manage budget and expenses, forecast product supply and demand.
Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry, strategic community partners, and be involved with state and industry associations.
Work with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Travel up to 30% of the time.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required) High School diploma or GED7
years of experience in marketing and agricultureAdditional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Agricultural program.
Agriculture experience to include:
Supply, sales and marketing of agriculture productsDeveloping and implementing sales and marketing plansManaging a budget and P&LSelling and negotiatingMarket pricing and contract negotiationsKnowledge of commodity markets and risk management toolsCrop nutrient business knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build and maintain strong collaborative relationshipsPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
