Travel Tags Inc. is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage shipping/receiving/warehouse activity at our plant Inver Grove Heights, MN on 1stshift (7am-4pm). The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods, maintaining inventory and associated records., leadership for a group of Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling employees . Some of the other responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Manage the receiving, shipping, handling, distribution and storage of all freight, product and supplies coming in and out warehouse
Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in timely manner, adhering to delivery schedules
Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties
Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
Plan layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and achieve warehouse optimization
Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain safe working environment
Maintain appropriate documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials (i.e. recycling)
Supervise warehouse employees, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and termination
Coordinate delivery and movement of material to be stored in off-site warehouse facility
Assess need for and arrange purchase of, moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, etc.
Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action
Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary
Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving function
High School diploma or equivalent required, and Bachelor of Arts degree and /or APICS/CPIM certification strongly preferred
5 years of directly related warehouse experience required for this position
2 year of Supervisor experience required
Experience managing 3rd party logistics providers
Previous experience working with Radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems and electronic data interchange (EDI)
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required for this position:
Proficient in UPS WorldShip and FedEx ShipManager software
Understands ERP concepts and integration with respect to supply/demand functions
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead change efforts
Ability to manage stakeholders through personal leadership and clear project goals
Strong attention to detail, process oriented and organized
A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
